Santa Cruz Skate Board Series
Program: Photoshop, Illustrator
For this project, students had to create a series of skateboard deck designs for an existing skateboard brand. The new designs needed to take the existing brand into consideration in order to ensure cohesion.
The dancheong patterns of Korea exhibit a diverse range of colors and intricate designs. My intention was to establish a synthesis between Eastern and Western influences by integrating traditional Korean patterns into the design of our skateboards.
This approach aligns with the overarching brand message of Santa Cruz, which embraces a spectrum of concepts and designs.

INSPIRATION
In the early months of 2023, influential Korean celebrities found inspiration in their own fashion and hairstyles, infusing them with profound traditional Korean symbolism. This creative spark was kindled during their participation in esteemed international events.
