Program: Illustrator, Photoshop
By creating a can design, the project focused on applying “minhwa,” a traditional Korean painting style, and using Illustrator to understand the d-line, with the goal of making soju more accessible to the hard-to-reach Gen MZ target audience with its light alcohol content.
I strategically redesigned a can of Korean carbonated fruit soju for the Canadian market, creating a unique and visually appealing image inspired by “minhwa,” a traditional Korean painting style. Not only did I base the flavor on the fruit soju preferences of many Canadian consumers from analyzing, but we also developed a lighter, sweeter soju variant to make it more accessible and enjoyable for a wider age range.
INSPIRATION
This project enhanced my proficiency in Illustrator and vector design, significantly refining my professional identity. Collaboratively crafting the design for Generation MZ, I fused contemporary design principles with traditional Korean folk painting techniques, further expanding my skills and creative capabilities.
